Our Community Tree Nursery in Mparo, Hoima District is where restoration begins. We raise high-quality indigenous tree seedlings that help smallholder farmers restore degraded landscapes, establish productive agroforestry systems, and build long-term resilience on their land.
Every seedling is carefully grown from seed to field-ready planting material, giving farmers and partners the confidence to plant trees that are healthy, well-established, and suited to local conditions.
How we grow quality seedlings
Seed Selection
We begin by selecting suitable indigenous tree species that perform well in local conditions and support productive agroforestry systems.
Nursery Care
Throughout the growing period, seedlings are carefully watered, monitored, and managed to encourage healthy growth.
Hardening
Before distribution, seedlings are gradually exposed to outdoor conditions so they can adapt successfully once planted.
